Claus supports and mentors start-ups in legal, regulatory and management questions in Baden-Württemberg since 2016. His work is based on his broad knowledge and practical experience in the Life Sciences which he gathered working as a legal advisor, chairman of company boards and coordinator for global projects for an international law firm in Stuttgart, Röhm GmbH, Darmstadt and Hoffmann-La Roche Group. Basel. His particular focus is on complex negotiations and dispute resolution, intellectual property rights and leadership tasks.

Following both German state exams in law Claus obtained his doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Freiburg i.Br. He also holds degrees in Experimental Psychology from the University of Oxford, England and in Criminology from the University of Cambridge, England. Claus owns and operates the Ruetsch law office in Laudenbach.
