Reinhold Roessler has more than 20 years of experience in drug development as a senior scientist and a global project manager in Europe, Asia, and North America in leading global pharmaceutical companies. He is also an independent business coach and trainer for project management, team development, leadership and career with the focus on R&D and life science.
Reinhold holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmaceutics from the University of Heidelberg and has a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Regensburg. He spent the first years of his professional career as a group leader in the pharmaceutical development at Nippon Boehringer Ingelheim, Japan, then as a lab manager and a CMC team leader for preclinical and clinical drug formulations for Sanofi-Aventis in Germany. Since 2006 Reinhold is a Global Project Manager and Leader at Sanofi in Germany and USA for the development of global pre-clinical, early and late stage clinical development projects in the area of diabetes, metabolism and cardiovascular disease. He led the operational activities of the comprehensive global development of drugs for several preclinical and clinical Phases I-III, worldwide regulatory approval and life cycle management. He coordinated several-hundred members of teams in R & D, Regulatory, Medical and Commercial in USA, France, Germany, Japan and China.
As an independent, certified business coach and trainer he supports teams and individuals on project leadership topics. He also teaches at the University of Applied Management Studies (Hochschule der Wirtschaft für Management) in Mannheim on Risk and Crisis Management and is a guest lecturer at the University of Heidelberg on Project Management in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
