You want to start through?
You are a Life Science Startup?
You are working in a team?
You have an elaborated idea or a protoype?
You plan to found in BW or have already done so?
The Life Science Accelerator program is certainly an important first step for life science start-ups who want to turn their idea into a start-up. Coordinated training, feedback and networking are the program’s greatest strengths. From my own experience, I can definitely recommend the format.
The Life Science Accelerator was actually really amazing! If you want to meet a lot of interesting and cool people, have high-quality workshops and look for great support: You have to go there!
Through the Life Science Accelerator we were able to establish valuable contacts to other start-ups and experts.
The Life Science Accelerator yields an immeasurable value for us as a young medtech startup. The talks, workshops and sessions give us great knowledge and connections to push forward.
The Life Science Accelerator has supported us greatly in all aspects of the foundation of our company and it is an excellent network to the actors of the health system in Baden-Württemberg.
The Life Science Accelerator BW is organized by:
The Life Science Accelerator Baden-Württemberg was created through the joint commitment of the MAFINEX Gründerverbund eV, the non-profit foundation for medical innovations, Heidelberg Startup Partner e.V. and Technologiepark Heidelberg GmbH. Through the cooperation of the founder associations and research institutions, the startup scene in Baden-Württemberg shall be strengthened and the attractiveness of the partner cities as start-up locations shall be increased. The Life Science Accelerator BW therefore provides a holistic startup support in three stages: In a “Needs Identification” module, medical problems are first identified at research facilities and clinics. The “MedTech Startup School” as a second module supports students and scientists in the transformation of innovative ideas into validated business models. Already there participants will be supported by doctors, scientists, mentors and industrial partners. The intense “Life Science Accelerator” qualification program is the third module in which existing startup teams in the pre-seed or seed phase are helped to accelerate and optimize their development process. Experts from industry and research support the teams to find suitable partners, develop sustainable business plans and present them to investors. The accompanying seminar program includes, among other things, the necessary business management skills, presentation training and “business model innovation” basics.
