Dagmar Kownatka is an experienced healthcare manager with a strong academic background. She holds a PhD in Chemistry and an MBA. At the beginning of her career, she worked for a start-up company that specialized in molecular modelling software.

For almost three decades, Dagmar worked for Roche Diagnostics in international roles, gaining broad experience in the in-vitro diagnostic, medical device, and digital health segments. She has a deep understanding of public affairs and market access – especially in the diabetes sector. Most recently, when working at Roche Diabetes Care, she led public affairs for the business unit, collaborating with recognised key opinion leaders, patient organizations, and healthcare associations to establish digital-enabled personalized Diabetes Management in the context of value-based healthcare. Today, Dagmar is a freelance healthcare consultant, leveraging her sound expertise to help organizations optimize care provision and healthcare structures to ultimately achieve better outcomes for patients.
